Gloucestershire Pension Fund
Open Letter to the Gloucestershire Pension Fund (GPF) Committee
As scheme members, you can say no to arms profiteering in your pension.
Our letter exposes the immoral gains that have been made due to the increase in share prices since October 7th 2023.
The fund is also heavily invested in weapons companies which modernised Putin's military before the invasion of Ukraine and which are now profiting from the war.
In both the Middle East and closer to home we see the horrors of war every day on our screens and we do not want our pensions to contain the profit from bloodshed.
Arms share prices have nearly doubled since Oct 7th 2023 and we highlight that the fund can take this opportunity to sell those investment and use the profit to offset any costs which would be incurred to make the fund free of weapons companies in future.
As a step towards that, as a scheme member you can ask the fund to carry out a fair and honest consultation of other scheme members to discover their views.

If you are an Gloucestershire Pension Fund scheme member please add your name to the letter. Every name counts but it is really important that the request for divestment is made by scheme members, so make sure you select the fund you are in, if it is not Gloucestershire please don't say you are, as it would be counter productive.
If you are a member of another LGPS fund
Please fill in the same form and indicate which fund you are in.
If you are NOT an LGPS member but are concerned about war profiteering please forward this page to anyone who might be a member.
If you would like to be more involved in the program of raising awareness among scheme members (the vast majority simply don't know what their money is invested in) please email pensiondivest@pm.me and we can put you in touch with your nearest local group.
